Allen Cunningham was born in 1977 at California. Like many other poker players he started playing at early age. At the age of 18 he played in Indian casinos. While he was doing his graduation in Civil engineering, at University of California Los Angeles, he took Poker game seriously and wanted to become a professional player. This led him to drop out of school and become a great player.

He stood in 4th place at 2006 World Series of Poker and earned $3,628,513. In 2007 October, he won $300,000 Mega Match on Poker After Dark .In December 2007, Allen Cunningham won National Poker League Vegas Open Championship by defeating David Singer and took home over $325,000. In May 2008, he won the 2008 World Series of Poker Circuit event and won $499,162.
