Doyle Brunson was born in 1933 at Texas. He played professional poker for over 50 years and became the icon of Poker. He was a team member of Texas Basketball team. He wants to become a professional basketball player but an injury in his leg ended his hope. Doyle had a master’s degree in administrative education.
Doyle is the first person to win two World Series of Poker main events consecutively. He is the author of many influential books. Doyle is the first player to earn $1 million in poker tournaments. He is one of the only four players who won the World Series of Poker main event multiple times. He won in 1976 and 1977.
Doyle won 10 World Series of Poker bracelets. ‘Bluff Magazine’ voted Doyle as No.1 influential person in the world of poker in 2006. Doyle nicknamed as ‘Texas Dolly’. His total poker tournament earnings are $5,300,000. He also introduced to Poker Hall of Fame.
