Gregory Raymer was born in 1964 in North Dakota. He was named as ‘Fossilman’ for his habit of collecting fossils. He graduated in 1992 from University of Minnesota Law School and practiced as a patent attorney for over 10 years. Greg won 2004 World Series of Poker and earned $5,000,000. Surprisingly, he paid only $160 to enter online tournaments which lead to a seat in the main event.
In 2005 Greg finished the inaugural British Poker Open in 3rd place and collected around 20,000 pounds. It was filmed in London and was United Kingdom’s and had the record of the biggest live poker event in the history.
In 2005, Greg finished in 25th place the World Series of Poker main event and earned $304,680.Greg won $180,000 in Poker Stars tournament, in the year 2006, finishing in the 2nd place. As of 2008 Greg Raymer’s total winnings are over $5,897,624.
