Michael Matusow was born in 1968 in California. He started playing poker which he is 18 years old. Prior becoming a poker professional he was a poker dealer where he learned the technique of the game. He started playing the game seriously from 1990.
Michael is the winner of World Series of Poker Tournament in 2005 and took home $1,000,000.Michael made two Final tables in World Series of Poker in 2005 and 2005.
In 1999 Michael Matusow won his first World Series of Poker bracelet. He had two World Series of Poker bracelets under his belt. In 2007, Matusow won World Poker Tour Bellagio Cup III championship and gained $671,320 as a runner-up.
Michael is an aggressive player which resulted in nicknaming as ‘The Mouth’. He is also known for ruining a great game with one simple misjudgment which is known as “Mike Matusow Blow-up” or “Mike Matusow Meltdown”. As of 2008 Michael’s total earnings through Poker were over $6,500,000.
