Phil Ivey born was born in 1976 at California. He is named as Tiger Woods of Poker. He started playing Poker in 1990s. Phil is a role model for the new generation player. He is well versed with the game which made won World Series of Poker title three times only at the age of 23.
As of today, Phil has 5 World Series of Poker bracelets and one World Poker Tour championship title. After seven failures Phil won the World Poker Tour in February 2008 and took home $1,596,000.
In 2005 Phil won first prize at Monte Carlo Millions tournament and The Full Tilt Poker.Net, total earnings for these two being $1,600,000.
In 2006 Phil combated with Andy Beal, a mathematician, who is well known for his challenges to the famous poker players. This led Phil win $16.6 million from Beal. He has the credit of defeating Amarillo Slim, who is famous for his poker skills and proposition bets, at a World Series of Poker.
Apart from playing poker he is a member of the design team for ‘Full Tilt Poker’.
As of today, Phil’s total tournament win exceeds $9,600,000 placing him in the 6th position of Poker player’s history.
