Poker Players Worldwide

Andy Black was born on 20 July 1965. He is from Belfast, Northern Ireland and presently living in Dublin. He started playing cards during his younger days and learnt from his mother who taught him in order to divert Andy’s mind from sectarian violence, which was going around the world. He was a brilliant student since his childhood days and went on to study law from Dublin’s Trinity College. However, he got attracted more to playing cards rather than fighting cases in court.
Stu Ungar who outsmarted Black knocked him out of the 1997 World Series of Poker (WSOP). In the same year, he lost and he discarded all his possession and lives as a semi-monastic like a Buddha living away from society and outside world. He stayed like this for five years before returning successfully in 2004 where he dominated Irish tournaments and won fifth place in WSOP tournament in 2005. In 2007 WSOP, he went until final and exited at $ 320,000. His total live tournament earnings as of now are $3,800,000.
